From March 5th to 9th, 2025, Madrid will transform into the international capital of contemporary art with the 44th edition of ARCOmadrid, hosted at IFEMA’s Pavilions 7 and 9. Wametisé: Ideas for an Amazofuturism:Curated by Denilson Baniwa and María Wills in collaboration with the Institute for Postnatural Studies, this program reflects on new modes of creation that merge the human, the vegetal, the physical, and the metaphysical. Inspired by the peoples of the Upper Negro River in the Amazon, it calls for the protection of forests, rivers, and natural territories against unsustainable resource exploitation.
